Luumi Life mask is a 100% pure platinum silicone mask with ePTFE filters that's simple to clean.
the mask
Platinum Silicone is a soft, durable, non-porous, and hypoallergenic material that is soft and easy on the skin (won't give you a rash like some plastic-based masks). Platinum silicone can be boiled or heated in the oven to 350°F without compromising its strength. Our pure platinum silicone is odor-free and is the same silicone we use for creating our line of food containers and straws. The unibody construction and outer flared edge, make for a good seal around your face and nose, making foggy glasses a thing of the past, and the under the chin design, along with no valves or vents, conform with airline use standards.
We have added as many wearing options as we can. The mask started with ear straps that are soft and flexible, as the design was based on the traditional KN95 design, and we have two options for length for the most comfortable fit.
We have also added fully adjustable, around the head straps, which we feel are the superior design as ear fatigue never becomes an issue.
TTG has rated the filter media as being cleanable 25x. Used filters can be returned to luumi for a 50% rebate on new filters, or anything else in our luumi shop.
the cleaning
Cleaning the mask and filters is easy, and can be done assembled or taken apart. It is most effective if you spritz the mask with a hand sanitizer spray before you begin. We recommend cleaning in the following ways:
dishwasher
oven at 150°F (minimum 20 minutes)
dryer on high cycle for 1 hour
washing machine (hot water setting with soap)
food dehydrator (minimum 145°F for 30 mins)
near-boiling water (minimum 20 mins)

Sustainable materials
Pure platinum silicone has an indefinite life, as does ePTFE and stainless steel, if cared for and kept in the temperature ratings. All three materials use a lot of energy combined, with the reduction benefit being seen over time. The better cared for and less likely to break designs will have the greatest reduction value.
Environmentally friendly factories
Our factories in China are located in a district that has been effected by environmental degradation, but it is also a district working hard to clean up, with many offending factories shut down and stricter monitoring of waste water and air being implemented.

Sustainable Distribution
We have done no stickers, no glue, no plastic coating on 100% recyclable card stock, smallest design possible for this purpose, and will continue to do so.
Your mask will come in a paper box, but may have to come in a sealed plastic (arg) bag inside, I will have to do a survey about this.
