With robust quad-stitching on the 8oz strap, diamond-quilting on the padded 16oz shoulder and tongue-pads, and a heavy duty quick release buckle for fast deployment, SLING is built for a lifetime of use & abuse.
SLING is a helmet carry strap for riders, everwhere. Originally developed during the early days of lockdown restrictions easing in the UK when entering a shop or pub mean't balancing your helmet on something nearby while you put on a facemask and disinfected your hands, SLING has evolved into a premium, practical carry strap for a huge range of situations.
Now, thanks to SLING, you can carry your helmet hands-free whenever you're off the bike.
It really doesn't take much of a knock to out a helmet out of service, and ultimately why take the risk when they cost hundreds, or even thousands? SLING not only brings convenience, peace of mind and practicality - but it also stops incidences of accidentally dropping your helmet, or seeing it slide off whatever you perched it on.
We've all been there. Enjoy a ride, pull up to your destination - and then face the options. Carry it in your hand, leave it on the bike hoping it doesn't get stolen or shat on (cheers birds) or - if you have one - to stuff it in a top box or backpack.
Fit SLING round the chin bar, or chin strap of your favourite lid, stuff your gloves inside, and wear it like a messenger bag - then enjoy walking around handsfree, with envious looks from other riders. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
Key to the success of SLING is the buckle. We didn't want anything you fitted to the helmet chin strap itself - there are far too many different varieties for that. No, we wanted something that attached to itself that could be fitted to ANY helmet.
After extensive testing - and trust us, if you're not careful you can order some crap buckles from factories - we landed on this one. A balance between weight and size vs robustness and strength. Our buckle is rated to forces of over 25kg, so will never just pop open if you're riding with a passengers helmet, snag it on a doorway or someone tries to snatch it from you. Equally, for your safety it shouldn't stay attached in the event of an accident due to the forces involved.
SLING is available in 4 colours from launch. Each is made of an 8oz wet-waxed cotton strap with 16oz corduroy-backed wet-wax cotton pads at either end. While the corduroy and buckles remain black, you can pick from Black, Brown, Navy and Olive for the rest!
