Tenue de Soleil: Sustainable UPF50+ Swimwear for Children
Did you know that being sunburnt five or more times, especially during childhood doubles your risk of skin cancer later in life? Most parents rely on sunscreen to protect their children, but usually only apply once and in too small amounts. In order to be completely effective, sunscreen should be generously reapplied every two hours and after every swim. That’s quite a task when you have excited kids raring to go and enjoy a long day by the water, not to mention an expensive one!
We’re all about letting kids and parents alike enjoy their moment in the sun.
Tenue de Soleil creates stylish UV-protective swimwear for active children, made from regenerated nylon supporting clean oceans. Designed by board certified dermatologist and skin cancer expert Dr. Daniel Kadouch (MD, PhD), our swimwear offers full UPF50+ coverage so you can worry less about burnt shoulders and more about where the next round of ice creams are coming from.
Stylish UV-protective swimwear
Safety is important, but summertime should be all about having fun. Whether that’s building sandcastles, exploring rock pools or splashing around in the water, Tenue de Soleil swimwear lets kids be kids so parents can focus on enjoying the moment, all the while knowing their little ones are fully protected from the sun.
What’s more, we don’t follow short-term fashion trends, opting instead for timeless, gender-neutral designs that will last more than a long summer. Our clothes are super durable too and can be passed down from child to child, further extending the life of each piece.

We love giving back, and that's why we support Under The Same Sun. This Canadian and US charitable organization was founded in 2008 by the current chairman of the board and CEO, Peter Ash, a Canadian person with albinism.
Under The Same Sun helps people with albinism in Africa overcome discrimination through education and advocacy. Albinism is a hereditary condition that results in a lack of pigmentation in skin, hair, and eyes. People with albinism are much more susceptible to skin cancer because the lack of melanin in their skin leaves them unprotected from the sun. Most children with albinism as young as 10 in sub-Saharan Africa have some form of early-stage skin cancer and only 2% live beyond age 40. Many are not aware of the danger from the sun and how to protect themselves.
