Inspired by NASA technology, KORU combines the natural air filtration properties of plants’ roots with a high-end photocatalyst (PCO) filter. The PCO filter is activated by UV-A and UV-C light which enables it to destroy bacteria and viruses, and remove VOCs from your breathing air.Koru’s efficacy has been proven through numerous rigorous tests, covering several gases and pollutants from airborne particles.
Tested in a 100ft2 room, Koru was proven to reduce the number of pollutants down to a World Health Organization (WHO) safe level in as little as 1.5 hours. The efficiency of the filtration system is rated at an industry-standard CADR rating of 70 CFM.HEPA filters, previously considered the "golden standard" for air purification, are now giving way to superior, more sustainable technology With thousands of tons of HEPA filters left to slowly decompose in landfills every year, KORU promises to do better.
