Ice Cream Guard protects your Ice Cream from freezer burn! Easy to use and made in the USA.
The Ice Cream Guard sits directly on top of the ice cream inside the carton it came in. It creates a layer of protection to stop freezer burn in its tracks and allows you to enjoy your favorite ice cream! Our patent pending design fits inside all oval sized ice cream cartons (we’ll to get to more sizes later) and pays for itself within a few uses with the amount of ice cream you save from freezer burn.
The problem is simple, ice cream just doesn’t last in the freezer for very long, without freezer burn affecting the flavor, consistency, and appearance of the ice cream. If you’ve had ice cream in your freezer for any amount of time you know exactly what I’m talking about. Freezer burn occurs when the moisture in the outer layers of the ice cream evaporates into the freezer air this happens within just a few days of opening the container. Any moisture on the carton lid also drips down and freezes onto the ice cream. When the Ice Cream Guard sits directly on top of the ice cream, it stops over 95% of freezer burn.
We tested multiple materials, designs, sizes, and durometers to create the best product possible. We added a honeycomb design to help trap the frost and keep it from growing onto the ice cream. To place it on the ice cream, simply push down on the middle, and edges of the guard to ensure a good tight seal. For best results, scoop the ice cream evenly. Any pockets of air under the guard can allow for freezer burn to grow.
The guard also has a pull tab that makes for easy removal when your ready to enjoy your ice cream.The flexible silicone allows the guard to fit in any 1.5 – 2 qt. oval shaped ice cream cartons. This includes many brands like Breyers, Mayfield, Blue Bunny, and many of the private label brands like Publix, Walmart, SE Grocers and many more. Basically any carton that is an oval shape, the guard can fit inside.
My personal favorite feature of the guard is that its dishwasher safe and can be used over and over again We are ready to save your Ice Cream!
We want to be able to sell Ice Cream Guards at an affordable price. By using Indiegogo, we are able to collect presales and order a large quantity of guards to keep our per part price low. We have already selected a great US manufacturer and completed a production run. We are well ahead of most crowdfunding campaigns and will be able to quickly ship out our product soon after the campaign ends. We need to raise at least $2,000 to place our first mass production order and bring our awesome, ice cream saving products to market.
I understand that maybe your favorite ice cream doesn’t come in an oval sized container. We plan to launch new sizes soon after the completion of this campaign.
