You may experienced a PMIC(Power Management Integrated Circuits) failure with Steam Deck docking station while playing games and charging Steam Deck at the same time. Dockcase adjustable power supply prevents this from happening.
We recommend use Steam Deck's original 45W charger with Dockcase Smart Hub. Dockcase uses 30W@15V2A by default, the lowest charging level of Steam Deck, Dockcase also can charge Steam Deck up to 40W at full load. When you are playing games but Steam Deck needs to be charged, we recommend to use 30-35W charging (setting the power to 10-15 watts on PD page). This will extend the charging time by approximately 30%, while also preventing the PMIC from burning out unexpectedly during charging.
The overvoltage protection of the top FL7112 PD control chip allows the CC pin of the USB-C port to withstand a maximum voltage of 24V, which is 4V higher than that of the standard PD protocol, which reduces the risk of short circuit and prevents the interface and motherboard from burning out.
