I am a new mom. Like many of you, we think our little ones are precious and their health condition always comes first. While COVID-19 infections keep ramping up across the globe, I have tried my best to keep good hygiene at home. But when we need to go out, I can’t really do much to protect my baby and I especially worry about higher risks of being infected at the public place.
My baby and I even had an unpleasant experience of being rejected by a taxi after a regular health check, just because my baby did not have any face covering! How difficult it is for a baby to face all these… That's when I started to question WHY shouldn't our babies get better protection under the pandemic?
Since then, I started to look up and try out different child protection products. However I was disappointed that there were not any protective products working well for babies:
Masks are not suitable for babies under 2 as they can cause suffocation.
Many caps and shields were either too large for a baby’s head, or would easily turn away or come off when the baby moves.

As a fashion accessories designer, I started designing a baby protective hat for my own girl. That is ORI Baby Protective Hat. And it becomes her 100-day gift too! Now she can
wear it outside happily and safely.
Though the design is originally for my girl, however, I want to share the design to help other babies under this pandemic. The hat is now patent pending & will be made in-house by a group of skillful female garment makers. I hope this will also support local women's employment in the economic downturn. ORI is protective, cute, and baby friendly. It is also designed and made with love.

ORI is a baby protective hat with a thoughtful design and fashion touches that make it so different to the protective products in the existing market. It enables the baby to move freely, breathe comfortably, and be protected in all journeys under the new norm.
How does it work?
You can easily attach the face shield and adjust its angle with the baby velcro on both sides. The baby velcros are light and soft, which stay naturally on the cotton hat. Besides, a super soft padding layer is designed on the forehead to ensure a good breathing room between the face shield and the baby’s face.
As the face shield is detachable, it can also transform to a fashionable baby hat for daily use.
What’s the best style for your baby?
ORI comes in two styles, including Sunny White and Magical Pastel Pink. Each style comes in different colours, patterns and trims: White for a smart & aesthetic look, and pink for a more fancy & sweet little fashion.
